What Can My Patient and I Expect?

For the Acupuncturist: If the patient agrees, I will give the LAc an update of my findings, how the session(s) went as well as any suggestions for integration support.

For the Patient: Two sessions are usually required. The first session is spent doing a diagnosis and soul retrieval. Then, about three weeks later, a follow up session is scheduled to assist in facilitating spiritual integration. Sessions are usually 1-2 hours long and may include drumming, rattling and smudging with sage. The effects may be felt immediately, or it may take a few days to experience a shift.

FAQ's

How does this work compare to dragon treatments? According to Unschuld, the dragon treatment may be an attempt to "kill invisible spirits" by "pricking of various body parts with lances and swords of a minor scale". Essentially, the practitioner is forcing the entity out without giving them anywhere to go. This makes the interaction between the practitioner and the entity hostile, even dangerous, because the entity has to go somewhere.

With the approach taught by Betsy Bergstrom, the practitioner works with the entities cosmology to go on to the next level of life. This changes the experience into a compassionate and cooperative approach.

How does this work compare to an aggressive energy treatment? Aggressive energy could be thought of as an intrusion. From a shamanic perspective, this would be cleared through an extraction. Intrusions can also present as other forms of stagnation as well.
