The Coaching Challenge:
With all the new health care practices, and all the research showing that they actually work, how is the average person supposed to tell which therapies are best? People who are trying to navigate all the information available have questions like...
- What things are available?
- What proof exists that this treatment is effective?
- What might work for me?
- How do I find a competent practitioner?
- What should I expect from a treatment?
- How should I judge if this treatment is working for me?
- I don’t have unlimited funds, but want to be sure I’m giving it a real chance. How many treatments should I get before deciding whether or not to continue?
Who needs health care coaching?
People who want to expand their health care beyond the allopathic (western medicine) medical model. Many people grow frustrated with the limitations of allopathic medicine and out of disappointment will completely forsake their MD, but this is NOT the best approach. Completely abandoning the familiar medical model can be quite dangerous. The challenge is in effectively integrating these new methods. People who frequently need help in this integration are:
- People who have chronic, difficult to treat disorders. Things like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, MS.
- People who have been through all that allopathic or bio- medicine has to offer, and have been told there is nothing else that can be done.
- People with diagnoses such as cancer and other degenerative diseases.
What services are available?
After a detailed intake, one or more of the following therapies may be used to restore harmony to the body. The Oriental medicine treatments include acupuncture, moxabustion, oriental massage, cupping and heat lamp therapy. Shamanic approaches can include power retrieval and various clearings. If these approaches are not right for you, Jennie can help you decide what other methods and which practitioners may help in your specific situation.
